
Ingredients
- —– 3 ripe tomatoes (or 200 g peeled canned tomatoes, without additives)
- —– 1 clove of garlic (or garlic powder)
- —– 1 tsp olive oil (optional, add after cooking)
- —– A few fresh basil leaves or a pinch of oregano
- —– Pepper, salt
Instructions
Roughly chop the tomatoes.
Place them in a saucepan with the herbs and garlic, and let simmer gently for 10–15 minutes.
Blend the sauce with an immersion blender until smooth.
Optionally, stir in the olive oil after cooking.
Serving Tip
Perfect with vegetables, chicken, or as a base for tortilla and oven dishes.
