Claude for Small Business: from Accounting to Sales

Claude is the AI assistant from the American company Anthropic, comparable to ChatGPT. You type or speak a question, and Claude responds. Most people are familiar with this by now.
A newer feature is that Claude can also do things for you, rather than just providing answers. To enable this, you need to grant Claude access to the programmes you already use, such as your accounting software, email, or online shop. Such a connection is called an integration.
A workflow is then a fixed series of steps that Claude completes for you. For example: check which invoices are still unpaid, draft a reminder, and present it to me. You approve, Claude executes.
Claude for Small Business is a package of such integrations and workflows, specifically for small entrepreneurs. It started in May primarily as an aid for administration. Since mid-September, it also aims to assist with sales and marketing.
What is it?
Not a standalone app, but a package of integrations and ready-made workflows within Claude, for tools you already use.
The launch in May included 15 workflows for finance, operations, sales, marketing, HR, and customer service, such as payroll planning, month-end closing, chasing invoices, and reviewing contracts.
Claude asks for approval before a task is actually executed.
What's new?
There are now 43 workflows, with an emphasis on growth: following up on leads, creating quotes from a spoken memo, scheduling social posts, and a weekly financial overview.
27 integrations have been added, including Shopify, Salesforce, Stripe, Xero, Square, and Zapier.
According to Forbes, the package has been installed over 900,000 times since May. One-third of the surveyed entrepreneurs requested help with sales and marketing.
What does it cost?
It is included in all paid Claude subscriptions. For companies with multiple people, Anthropic recommends the Team subscription.
Considerations
Meta ads are not yet integrated. This can only be done via a workaround with Zapier or a custom integration.
The same research shows that half of the entrepreneurs are concerned about the security of their data.
The free workshops are only available in American cities. I have not been able to confirm whether all integrations also work in the Netherlands.
