Ingredients

  • 1 portion of fruit – apple
  • 1 to 2 pieces of crispbread
  • 1 tbsp coconut oil (or 1 tbsp ghee)
  • 1½ tsp cinnamon
  • A splash of water or apple juice
  • 1 portion of protein – yogurt (type according to your list)

Instructions

Sometimes you just want something that feels like comfort food — warm, soft, and a bit nostalgic, especially in the morning. This apple crumble does exactly that, but in a light, healthy version that fits perfectly within Metabolic Balance, #deliciousman Replace the coconut oil with a splash of water or apple juice (from the apple itself). Stir this into the crumbled crispbread so it becomes slightly moist — it will be less crunchy, but warm and creamy. Preparation: Preheat the oven to 200 °C (390 °F). Cut the apple into small pieces and mix with 1 tsp cinnamon. Line a small baking dish with parchment paper and spoon the apple into it. Crumble the crispbread, melt the coconut oil, and mix them together. Spread this mixture over the apple. Bake for 20–25 minutes until the top is golden brown and lightly crispy.

Serving Tip

Serve warm or cold with the yogurt as your protein source — creamy, fresh, and just a touch of luxury with the first bite. Vanilla twist: mix some vanilla seeds into the apple for a soft, sweet note. Ginger kick: add a pinch of ginger powder or some freshly grated ginger for warmth and a bit of spice.

Storage Tip

Let cool and store covered in the refrigerator for up to 2 days. Reheat in the oven or enjoy cold with yogurt — both are delicious.
