Steamed Cod with Leek

Ingredients

  • 140g cod fillet
  • 150g leek, thinly sliced
  • 1/2 lemon (1 slice + extra for serving)
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Splash of water for the pan

Instructions

  • Slice the leek into thin rings.

  • Bring a pan with a small layer of water to a boil and place a steaming basket on top.

  • Spread the leek in the steaming basket and place the cod on top.

  • Season the fish with salt and pepper and place a slice of lemon on top.

  • Steam the fish for 8–10 minutes until tender and translucent.

  • Carefully remove from the basket and serve with extra lemon for freshness.

Serving Tip

Sprinkle with some finely chopped dill or parsley for extra aroma.

Storage Tip

Best enjoyed immediately; do not reheat.
