Smoked Salmon Pâté

Ingredients

  • 80 g smoked salmon
  • 40 g Dutch shrimp
  • 40 g white crab meat (fresh or well-drained)
  • 60 g goat cream cheese
  • 1 teaspoon lemon zest
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • 1 tablespoon dill or chives, finely chopped
  • 1 small pickle or 1 tablespoon capers, finely chopped
  • 1 pinch cayenne pepper
  • Pepper and a small pinch of sea salt
  • 1 teaspoon salmon roe (for topping)

Instructions

- Finely chop the smoked salmon.

- Mix the salmon with goat cream cheese, lemon zest, lemon juice, and herbs to create a spreadable pâté.

- Gently fold in the Dutch shrimp and crab meat.

- Season with pepper, a small pinch of salt, and a dash of cayenne pepper for subtle warmth, along with the pickle or capers if desired.

- Spoon into a small dish or shape into a quenelle.

- Garnish with a small spoonful of salmon roe.

Serving Tip

Serve with a sprig of dill and thin lemon peel. Creamy, fresh, and festive — a luxurious pâté with rich ocean flavors and an elegant finish.

Storage Tip

Keeps for up to 2 days in the refrigerator. Add the roe just before serving.
