- —140 g romanesco, cut into florets
- —1 tsp olive oil or ghee
- —1 tsp lemon juice
- —Pepper, sea salt
- —Fresh thyme, basil, or dill
- —Optional: 100 g fish or chicken for extra protein
Instructions
Steam the romanesco for 6–8 minutes or roast in the oven at 180 °C with a bit of olive oil.
Season with lemon, herbs, pepper, and salt.
Serve as is or pair with chicken/fish for a complete meal.
Air fryer option: 170 °C – 10 minutes
Serving Tip
Delicious with a spoonful of warm lemon butter or tomato sauce from the sauces chapter. Serve the romanesco on a light-colored plate, drizzled with a touch of extra lemon juice and fresh herbs. Optionally, add a slice of lemon for a pop of color.
Storage Tip
Store for up to 1 day in the refrigerator in a sealed container. Reheat briefly in the oven or steamer to preserve texture.
