Peanut Sauce

Ingredients

  • 1 tbsp peanut butter (100% peanuts, no sugar or oil)
  • 2 tbsp water
  • 1 tsp lemon juice
  • ½ tsp tamari or soy sauce (sugar-free, optional)
  • Pepper, chili powder to taste

Instructions

  • Warm the water in a small saucepan (do not boil).

  • Add the peanut butter and gently stir with a whisk until smooth.

  • Add lemon juice, pepper, and optionally tamari or chili powder.

  • Let it simmer briefly (1–2 minutes) until the sauce thickens slightly.

Serving Tip

Delicious served warm over chicken, cauliflower rice, green beans, or a vegetarian burger. Serve in a small bowl or drizzle over the dish in thin stripes. Garnish with a few peanuts or a pinch of chili flakes.

Storage Tip

Allow the sauce to cool completely first. Store for up to 2 days in a sealed jar in the refrigerator. When reheating: stir in a small splash of water and gently warm in a saucepan to make the sauce smooth and creamy again.
