- —1 red chili, thinly sliced
- —2 tbsp soy sauce
- —1 tbsp sesame oil
- —1 tbsp extra virgin olive oil
- —1 lime
- —Fresh coriander
- —Sea salt
- —Freshly ground black pepper
Instructions
This whole oven-baked sea bream is an impressive yet surprisingly simple dish. The combination of fresh ginger, garlic, red chili, and spring onion gives the fish a fresh Asian flavor, while the oven ensures the meat stays deliciously juicy and tender.
Perfect for a relaxed dinner where you can serve a flavorful dish with minimal effort. Serve with steamed rice or crunchy vegetables for a complete meal.
Preheat the oven to 200°C.
Score the sea breams on both sides a few times and sprinkle with sea salt and black pepper.
Stuff the cavity with some of the ginger, garlic, and coriander.
Place the fish in a baking dish and spread the remaining ginger, garlic, spring onion, and red chili over the top.
Mix the soy sauce with the sesame oil and olive oil and pour over the fish.
Bake the sea breams for 25 to 30 minutes in the oven until the fish meat easily flakes. Garnish just before serving with extra spring onion, coriander, and lime wedges.
Serving Tip
Delicious with steamed jasmine rice, bok choy, or grilled broccoli for a complete Asian meal.
