Italian Salad with Mozzarella, Tomato, and Basil

Ingredients

  • 60 g mozzarella (buffalo, goat, or sheep variety)
  • 80 g cherry tomatoes, halved
  • A handful of fresh basil leaves
  • 1 tsp olive oil
  • ½ tsp balsamic vinegar or lemon juice
  • Pepper, salt

Instructions

  • Cut or tear the mozzarella into pieces.

  • Arrange the tomato, mozzarella, and basil on a plate.

  • Drizzle with olive oil and balsamic vinegar.

  • Season with pepper and salt to taste.

Serving Tip

Delicious as a light lunch or side dish with fish or vegetables. Serve on a white plate with the ingredients loosely arranged. Garnish with an extra basil leaf and a few drops of olive oil just before serving.

Storage Tip

Store covered in the refrigerator for up to 1 day. Add oil and vinegar just before eating for the best flavor.
