Crispy Stir-Fried Minced Meat with Sweet Soy Sauce

Ingredients

  • —300 g mixed minced meat
  • —1 onion
  • —2 cloves of garlic
  • —2 cm fresh ginger
  • —150 g green beans or snow peas
  • —3 tbsp sweet soy sauce (ketjap manis)
  • —1 tbsp soy sauce
  • —1 tsp honey
  • —0.5 lime, juice
  • —2 spring onions
  • —handful of fresh mint
  • —2 tbsp sunflower oil

Instructions

  • Heat oil in a hot wok.

  • Peel and finely chop the onion.

  • Peel and crush the garlic.

  • Peel and grate the ginger.

  • Sauté the onion, garlic, and ginger in the wok until translucent.

  • Add the green beans or snow peas and stir-fry until tender-crisp.

  • Remove the vegetables from the wok and set aside.

  • Add the minced meat to the wok and stir-fry on high heat until crumbly and crispy.

  • Return the vegetables to the wok.

  • Season with sweet soy sauce, soy sauce, honey, and lime juice.

  • Mix well until everything is nicely coated and glossy.

  • Slice the spring onions into rings.

  • Garnish with fresh mint and spring onions and serve immediately.

Quick, fragrant, and full of flavor. Crispy stir-fried minced meat gains depth from sweet soy sauce and fresh accents of lime, mint, and spring onion. Serve this dish straight from the wok, optionally with fried rice or noodles for a complete meal.

Storage Tip

Leftovers can be kept covered in the fridge for up to one day and reheated briefly in the pan.
