
Ingredients
- —200 g beef (chuck steak or lean stewing beef)
- —1 small onion, cut into wedges
- —1 carrot, sliced
- —1 clove of garlic, crushed
- —1 bay leaf
- —Salt and pepper
- —50 ml water or low-sodium broth
Instructions
Preheat the oven to 160°C (320°F).
Season the beef with salt and pepper.
Place the beef in a roasting bag along with the onion, carrot, garlic, and bay leaf.
Add 50 ml of water or broth.
Seal the roasting bag according to the instructions and place it on a baking dish.
Pierce a small hole at the top of the bag to allow steam to escape.
Cook the beef for 2 to 2.5 hours until tender.
Carefully remove from the bag and serve with the stewed vegetables.
Serving Tip
Delicious with light vegetables or a fresh salad. Tender beef slowly cooked in a roasting bag, simply seasoned with herbs and vegetables.
Storage Tip
Keeps for up to 2 days in the refrigerator. Even more tender the next day when gently reheated.
