Ingredients

  • 1 large apple (e.g., Elstar or Jonagold)
  • 1 portion of almonds with sunflower seeds
  • (Soak these overnight in cold water)
  • ½ tsp cinnamon
  • 1 pinch of cocoa powder

Instructions

  • Soak the almonds and sunflower seeds overnight in cold water.

  • Drain them the next day and blend the mixture into a coarse paste.

  • Mix in the cinnamon and cocoa powder.

  • Remove the core from the apple and fill the center with the nut mixture.

  • Place the apple in a small baking dish.

  • Bake 20–25 minutes at 180 °C until the apple is soft and the filling is slightly crispy.

Air fryer option: – Preheat to 170 °C – Bake for 15–18 minutes

Serving Tip

The aroma of warm apple and cinnamon makes this a classic — simple, nutritious, and pure. Serve in a small baking dish with a sprinkle of extra cinnamon or a sprig of mint on top. For a festive twist: add a spoonful of goat or sheep yogurt on the side.

Storage Tip

Store for up to 1 day in the refrigerator and briefly reheat in the oven or air fryer before serving.
