Everything is Possible. Truly Everything.

What a week. Rebuilt three sites, and each one was faster than the last.

Last Sunday, we embarked on a new design for Studio, and an entirely new branding for all PB projects, at least some. First Studio. Now, by Friday evening at ten o'clock, Studio, zappa and PB.nl are all ready and live.....WTF.... That was a week. And three sites.

Sunday to Thursday: Studio

Studio is our AI photo studio. One app, many studios. It needed to be light. Warm. No more dark mode. Black became warm dark. The logo became a small square with "St" inside.
Monday at 11:47, the first building step. Colours, sizes, the components that recur everywhere.
Then the real work began. Days long. Testing. Thinking through. Expanding. Many hours every day. Building something, looking, testing. And then adding something else.

The CMS grew the fastest. Initially, it could do one thing: choose an image model per studio. Now it manages the homepage, the credits, the settings per studio, and the dashboard. It has become impressive.

Then Birgit came along. With cool ideas. With additions. So those were included as well.
It went so fast that it sometimes felt strange. You think of something. A little later, it's there. You look, you test, you enjoy. And then you think of the next thing.

That's what these days showed. Everything is possible. Truly everything.
From Monday to Thursday: 337 vercel commits.

Studio is not live yet. Peter and Birgit will put it online at the end of November. A lot of testing still needs to be done. But it has turned out so beautifully.

Thursday Evening: Zappa

Thursday evening. Late. Peter: "Make a Zappa in this style." #ask claude design function
Zappa is our prompt engine. Own clients, own stack. The agreement was simple: just a new look. Features, CMS, NL and EN remain. Dark mode out. Ticker bar out. Zappa could be slightly warmer than Studio. The footer had to be exactly the same.

At 00:10, the new homepage was next to the old one, on /v2. At 00:39, all public pages. Around one o'clock, the last fixes were in. Friday morning 09:43, it took over from the old site.

Friday Morning: wtf, why not

Friday morning. Coffee. "Why not, actually?"
The main site, pb.nl, went to Claude Design. Peter put a gauntlet loop on it. At 13:25, the first line of code. At 14:30, pb.nl was live. New design, NL and EN, revamped CMS.

PB.NL is now called PB Creative AI Lab. PB® is in the header, with the same taupe block as Studio and Zappa. DMM and Campaigns are off the site. Contact and About Us are separate pages. You can now subscribe to the newsletter. The CMS builds on that of Studio, with a start screen like Zappa.

The rule: nothing hardcoded. Everything via CSS. 13,124 lines of code were added. 16,423 were removed. The site became smaller. Perhaps the most beautiful number of the week.

"is NOT pixel perfect!"

Of course not immediately. The CSS matched the design. The content of a few blocks did not. So those were transferred 1-to-1.

The new design had a photo in the logo. Peter: "check the old site, illustration is most visible!" So the old behaviour is back. Illustration at rest. Video on load. Photo on hover. Faces flashing in with a glitch.

Friday Evening: just a bit more

21:18. Peter wants ten fields for the main title. The site chooses one itself. "I find it quite creative." At 21:23, it was live. Fifteen minutes later, he had filled them. "With us, it starts with 'what if?'" "From fashion to code." "Our curiosity runs wild."

That last one certainly fits this week.
The title now builds up letter by letter. A new hero for mobile was added. And on mobile, nothing else changes anymore. In the middle of the build, Peter typed: "just wink!" Now there's a face that winks. In a loop.

From the Phone

Much feedback came from Peter's phone. A screenshot, one sentence added, sent. In between also: "what is rm -rf what does this stand for? #learning"
It deleted a folder with everything in it. Without asking. A good question to ask before you type it.

Also Mistakes

Claude also went wrong. On a test link, images were missing due to a copying error. And the titles sometimes caused the text to jump on mobile. Lighthouse found it. Solved the same evening.

Twelve Agents

At times, twelve agents worked simultaneously. Renovating, rebuilding, measuring. Claude Code kept the overview. Claude Design joined in. Peter looked at every pixel and decided.
Built with Next.js 16, Neon, Cloudflare R2 and Vercel.

Three sites, one style. Each site went faster than the last because the style was already there.
We are proud. And tired.

The Week in a Few Numbers

  • 5 days. 3 sites. 1 style.

  • 337 commits to Studio, from Monday to Thursday.

  • 351 files adjusted in Zappa and pb.nl together.

  • 20,625 lines of code added. 21,579 removed. Altogether, it became 954 lines smaller.

  • pb.nl alone: 3,299 lines smaller.

  • Zappa: from 00:10 to around one o'clock at night, all public pages overhauled.

  • pb.nl: 65 minutes from the first line of code to live?!?.

  • 5 minutes from "ten titles?" to live.

  • 4 new ideas Friday evening, live in 40 minutes.

  • 10 main titles, the site chooses one itself.

  • 2 languages, NL and EN.

  • 200 URLs checked. 0 problems.

  • 195 internal links. 0 dead.

  • PageSpeed: 100, 97, 100, 100. Peter: "wow!!!!!! good man!!"

  • SEO on mobile: 100.

  • 12 agents simultaneously, at the busiest moments.

  • 1 wink. Costs 2 to 5 points. He can have it.

Studio goes live at the end of this month! see the demo video:
