Stir-Fried Beef Strips in Hoisin Sauce

Ingredients

  • —300 g beef strips
  • —2 tbsp hoisin sauce
  • —0.5 red bell pepper
  • —0.5 yellow bell pepper
  • —60 g bean sprouts
  • —75 g green beans
  • —1 clove garlic
  • —1 tbsp roasted hazelnuts
  • —1 tbsp soy sauce
  • —1 tbsp sesame oil
  • —handful of flat-leaf parsley
  • —pepper

Instructions

  • Clean the bell peppers and slice them into thin strips.

  • Halve the green beans.

  • Peel and crush the garlic.

  • Heat the sesame oil in a hot wok.

  • Quickly stir-fry the beef until nicely browned, then remove from the wok.

  • Add a small splash of oil if necessary.

  • Briefly stir-fry the garlic until fragrant.

  • Add the bell peppers and green beans, stir-frying for a few minutes until tender-crisp.

  • Add the bean sprouts and stir-fry briefly.

  • Return the beef to the wok.

  • Add the hoisin sauce, soy sauce, and pepper, mixing well.

  • Stir in the roasted hazelnuts at the end.

  • Garnish with coarsely chopped flat-leaf parsley and serve immediately.
