Ingredients
- —300 g fresh salmon (sashimi-grade)
- —1 ripe avocado
- —1 small shallot, finely chopped
- —1 tbsp cider vinegar
- —1 handful of mixed fresh herbs (e.g., dill, parsley, chives)
- —50 g salmon roe (optional, for extra indulgence)
- —Pepper, salt, lemon juice to taste
Instructions
Slice the salmon into thin slices or small cubes.
Peel the avocado and cut it into even cubes.
Mix the shallot, cider vinegar, a pinch of salt, and some pepper into a light dressing.
Gently combine the salmon, avocado, and herbs with the dressing.
Let it sit for 5 minutes to allow the flavors to meld.
Garnish with salmon roe and optionally a drop of lemon juice just before serving.
Serving Tip
Serve on a shallow white or gray plate, with the salmon-avocado tartare in the center. Finish with salmon roe, fresh herbs, and a small spoon.
Storage Tip
Serve immediately after preparation. Want to prepare ahead? Store the salmon separately, covered in the fridge (max. 1 day), and add the avocado just before serving to prevent discoloration.
