ChatGPT: What's New, and What Can You Use in the Netherlands
OpenAI hosted DevDay and rolled out updates for a month. Here's what works for us.

First, the Concepts
ChatGPT Chat: the standard conversation. Question, answer.
ChatGPT Work: a mode that handles longer tasks independently. Research, documents, presentations.
Codex: the same concept, but for programming.
Plugin: a connection with another app, such as Gmail, Dropbox, or Notion.
Agent: AI that performs tasks autonomously, even when you're not present.

ChatGPT in Word
Since 17 September, ChatGPT is available in Microsoft Word. Also in the free version.
Summarise, rewrite, adjust headings. From a sidebar.
Excel and PowerPoint already had this feature.
Talking to Your Apps
In voice mode, you can now use your linked apps. For example, ask aloud what's on your calendar.
Also works for free users.
Files from Dropbox, Box, and SharePoint
These are now in your Library, alongside Google Drive.
No more uploading. Open the file next to the conversation and ask questions.
For paid subscriptions, initially on the web.
ChatGPT Images 2.5
The new image model since 8 September. Sharper and faster.
New: templates, sketches as a starting point, and place comments directly on an image to make adjustments.
Flashcards
Ask ChatGPT for practice cards on a topic. Flip, check off, practice again.
All subscriptions.
Smarter Model for Heavy Tasks
GPT-6.1 Sol is coming to Work and Codex. First Pro, then Plus and business.
Better at programming and working independently on a computer.
Pages and Space
Pages is a new type of document where you, colleagues, and ChatGPT can work together.
Space bundles Pages and files per project.
Only Pro and business. No regional restrictions mentioned.
Not Yet in the Netherlands
Dots, the major DevDay innovation. Agents that work for you 24/7. For Pro users not yet in the EU, Switzerland, and the UK.
Finances (linking your banking) and Health (your medical data): only in the US.
Small Updates
Personal GPT's are disappearing. They are being replaced by plugins. Do you use custom GPT's? Keep an eye on notifications.
New: an overview of login activity on your account. Found under Settings > Security and login.
Try on clothes virtually with a selfie, and scan documents into a single PDF on iPhone. Whether this already works in the Netherlands is not specified.
Log in with your ChatGPT account to other services, such as Notion and Vercel. This works worldwide.
